People with bad attitudes never pay the price

It is sad and maddening at the same time that jerks almost never get served what is coming to them.
People can act as they wish be it in dealing with them or even driving and get away with it as if nothing is wrong with their behavior. BUT when someone calls them on it that person almost always pays the price for the jerks actions.
We are taught to be passive, we are taught to let jerks be, let them alone or you will pay. jerks are protected, at work or in public they are allowed to do as they wish.
Several times in my life I have encountered jerks and made my opinions about them known to them. I get in trouble for it, every time.
Gone are the days of standing up for yourself, gone are the days of protecting your honor, gone are the days where if someone wronged you the righht to end it was there.
It happened again today, idiot who drives like he is on crack, speeds through the parking lot, speeds recklessly and so on, crossed my path today. Pulled into the lot after lunch and this idiot who has been tailgating me for the last 5 miles decides the parking lot is where he will pass me. I have to lock up my brakes to avoid a collision. While stopped he pulled beside me with a look on his face as if to ask "whats wrong?". When I said to him "buddy you need to slow it down" he got all rightious and acted as if he did nothing wrong and that it was I who had the problem. My passenger commented on his driving and this guy went off, we all exited the vehicle, I had to shove my passenger back in the car and we left.
Now all of a sudden this jerk is the victim, filed a complaint against me and my passenger, crying like a little girl he went straight to his boss because the mean people told him to slow down.
I hate people like that, the ability to act in a proffesional manner is not there, they are total jerks and I call them that here because what I really want to call them will get me banned from the board. Why do these people continue to get away with this. Why can a person not smash these people in the face and teach them a lesson? A good ol fashoined * whuppin would help alot of folks. If you took the legal side away, the abilty to sue and get people fired the jerks of the world would start behaving differently.
I'm not a violent person and I will walk away from a fight 99% of the time. It does not mean however that sometimes I meet people that I would LOVE to see with a fat lip and broken nose. There are even some that I want to cause them to wet their pants everytime they see me. Problems can sometimes be solved with a knuckle sandwich. But on the legal side of ther house, punch an jerk in the face and you will lose your job, go to jail, get sued into bankruptcy and have your life ruined. Loss of rights is a biggie, serve someone a fistfull of attitude adjustment and kiss owning a gun goodbye. Some people just need a haymaker to the face!
Today was not a good day, the jerk may have won.
After preview of this post I want to add this, the word JERK is not what I typed. The word I used refered to certain people as another term for the center area of a set of buttocks.

The guy you think needs a knuckle sammich for some "injustice" just might be the guy that kicks YOUR butt up between your shoulder blades.
Doesn't mean you have to ignore them.
Personally, I have ratted out drunks behind the wheel and other assorted idiots many times. Before cell phones I did it over two-way radio, either on the fire department or other frequencies I had available. Or amateur radio. Then came cell phones and by golly I've had a good time with that.
Funniest one was a bunch of bicyclists. Yeah that's right, guys on bicycles. They were doing some sort of protest deal towards people in SUV's. They'd ride as many as ten abreast out into traffic lanes, blocking cars. They'd shout at drivers and insult them. Kicked a few SUV's and would just peddle off fast if a driver got out.
So I radioed it in and the cops arrested the whole bunch. About twenty of them on the side of the road. Their bikes got impounded as evidence. I sat in a parking lot laughing myself silly.
Helped catch a car thief once too. Felt great and I didn't have to mess with the bad guy, let the guys with badges and backup handle it.
Favorite was a little girl locked in a car in a parking lot. Cool weather, had it been summer I'd of been direct about it and busted her free myself. Instead I put the cops on it and they pounced on the SOB that left his two year old alone in the car. No car seat, no toys, no supervision.
Sometimes satisfaction comes by really sticking it to an idiot.
Think of it as a sort of passive-aggressive thing [8D]
Wisdom comes with age.

That's okay, Bruce, since being confronted and shown that some people won't tolerate your BS is still a valuable lesson for a jerk, IMO.[:)]
Factually, some people need an *-whooping. If one steps up to deliver that much needed *-whooping and gets stomped, so be it.
At least the behavior wasn't tolerated or accepted and that is a price worth paying.
If you interfere you have just become party to the madness and potentially started an altercation like the original poster.
"To die is to be a counterfeit, for he is but the counterfeit of a man who hath not the life of a man; but to counterfeit dying, when a man thereby liveth, is to be no counterfeit, but the true and perfect image of life indeed. The better part of valor is discretion, in the which better part I have sav'd my life."
Whatever Falstaff's reasons, the idea of not picking fights is a good plan for living a long life without getting jailed, shot, stabbed, beat up or run over. All too often people escalate situations from minor to major, from civil offense and misdemeanor up to felony. All over perceptions of personal honor, personal image.
Yes, some people earn an *-whupp'n with frequency. Sadly, delivering that *-whupp'n when it is not self defense is a crime all by itself. I say "sadly" and mean just that. It is a trade off for residing in civilized society. I may not like it, but I understand and abide it.
So I rat the morons out and happily admit to doing so. The *-whup-ee gets some manner of trouble in return for being a jerk and I do not get arrested for my temper getting the best of me.
It is simply confronting bad-behavior and being prepared to do whatever may be necessary as a result of that confrontation of bad-behavior.
Ignoring bad-behavior does naught but reinforce that it is generally acceptable to be that way.
That aside, there are some people who in fact are in need a good *-whooping.[:)]
Just give them enough rope and they will hang themselves.
If at work well, I think at most you want to calmly tell someone what they are doing wrong. Nothing works like shamming someone in public but you have to have it all thought out and be quick of wit with some of the jerks out there.
The Story by Chrisintempe reminds me of a taco shop I walked into many years ago when I was younger and wore my hair long.
Two jerk off's were in the place and they start talking about my hair and commeting on what a fag I was. Queer Etc. Just to be clear I just had long hair I was not a pretty boy nor did I use hairspray or anything like that. I could tell they simply were trying to provoke me.
There was the main antagonist and his side kick who was only joining in because of his * freind. Well sensing that they wanted me to react I simply refused to play the game. I was temped to jump up and challenge them to shut up or deal with Mr. Fist but....
I kept thinking they might have a knife and even if not I did not have any dental plan and could not afford a crack in the teeth. So I simply politley smiled at them each time they said anything. They thought that was funny too.
When I was done eating I left and worried they might not let me pass but they did not get up. I also worried they would follow me out and jump me but no. They had more to eat. I assumed they had been drinking so drove a quarter block to the sheriff sub station and flagged down a cop. Told him what was going on adding I am pretty sure they have been drinking and will be driving out soon.
So I drove back over and parked accross the street and waited and watched two cop cars set up an ambush hehehe. Soon as they tried to turn onto the road they got lit up with police lights. They pulled into the same parking lot I was watching them from and I ducked down. I sure did not want them to see me watching or I might expect some damage done to my van at a later date.
Well the main * was taken in but I think for a warrant he must have had out. The other clown was sent walking. Car was towed.
They were no longer laughing either. They had thought it was just the funniest thing to taunt and insult someone they never even met before just 20 minutes before hand.
lt aint my job to make adults behave
I'm kind of the same way, but have my limits, I'm generally live and let live kind of guy. Warned a new driver about speeding on our street a couple of times. It is a narrow street with many parked cars and a lot of children around. The kid flattened my Cat doing around 35-40 in a 15 MPH zone.
I walked up to the drivers door, made a motion for him to roll down his window and slapped him right up side the head with my dead Cat (guts streaming out of his rear end and still twitching). Told him he can take it as far as he thinks prudent, said he may win (kid is like 6`4 and 230) but he'll have to kill me to stop me.
His father never even called or came over for a chat, the kids been on foot and using the bus for a long time now.
Well he filed a complaint against you with who your Employer or the police? If with the police as long as it was all verbal there is nothing to follow up on.

Better to live 55 years standing up for what's right and unafraid, than to live 80 years on your knees.

Why does it have to be one or the other?
I don't pick fights and don't feel the need to finish them or correct the jerks personally. I am not the neighborhood's Policeman, School Marm or Nun with Ruler for knuckle whacking. Haven't had to live life on my knees out of this point of view either.
I'd rather handle troubles smart. Find ways to stick it to the trouble makers without shortening my life or risking my personal freedom by going over some legal line out of anger or some sense of personal honor.
But if it came down to a life and death situation, well hey I ain't on this forum because my hobby is collecting warm and fuzzy thoughts.
I do like MudderChuck's comment about slapping a guy in the face with the disemboweled cat though. Disgusting? Sure, but it does show a certain style.

That is, without a doubt, one of the best stories I've ever read here![:D][:D][8D]

There is no right answer; we're all wired differently. I learned early on in life (junior high) that standing your ground when necessary to defend nothing more than your honor, often results in having to do it less often. Afterall, bullies aren't looking for fights, they're looking for pacifists. And trust me, they can often tell the difference between the two by your deameanor and looking in your eyes.

Next time he is tailgating you slam on THE BRAKES and let him hit you, then call 911 and report you cant move out of the seat and am injured badly.
Lucky for me at work I'm seen as the crazy old Marine.
That is the best possible scenario.
If they think your mean and crazy they will usually leave you alone.

You are so wrong. We pay, and the costs is always more than I can afford.
Jerks?
I feel exactly as you do
It seems like more people want to exercise they're "rights" but not they're "responsibilities"
