The youngest Eagle, NE (band ID), fledged this morning around 10:30 EST! He took that leap of faith, left the nest tree for the first time.

Pic of Camellia (NC band ID, and oldest Eaglet) and her "bad landing" right after this pic Camellia let go but couldnt regain fligt control before smacking the ground, took a few minutes to gather his thoughts but then flew up into a nearby tree, no worse for wear [:D]

These Eagles hatched around the middle of March.
Note the pic showing how BIG their feet are...remind me of the big floppy clown shoes.[:D]

When they begin to "walk", they cant walk on their feet, not enough balance or muscle control...they "walk" on their "knees" to start...and it hilarious, they face plant about every two steps [:D]

The Eaglets at the fish hatchery nest were all sleeping awhile ago, eating and sleeping and putting on the weight, "what" they do at this age...they are all doing fine.

The "runt", the third to hatch a week after the last one had...has now caught up with the two oldest, cant tell them apart now.
Ive found out since that it is very rare for an egg to hatch so long after the last, a week in the case of the fish hatchery Eaglets...so the "runt" is VERY lucky to even be here, but he is and has caught up with his siblings...[^]
