Bb gun question

I've got a walther cp99 bb gun. Runs off of co2. I put one of the cartridges in it, and the o-ring is leaking. I can't get in there to get it, and it looks pressed in anyhow. Its probably just old, there are no tears in it. Y'all think if I squirted a bit of Lucas oil additive on the o ring it would help? Or should I just try and replace it (I'm sure I could with a dentists pick). Anybody else have this problem?

try the oil, won't hurt it any.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Coltpax I had one to that I thought was leaking after I put in a new cartridge it looked like the o-ring was there but it was actually stuck to the old cartridge. If you still have the old one you took out check it first.

Still on there. You just remined me of the time I popped the top off a co2 cartridge then licked it on a dare. Think my tongue has a scar. But yep, it's still hangin in there. I'll take it to work one day and puddle around with it (off the clock of course). I just hate putting a co2 cylinder in it and the thing leaking out. The suckers went up $2 a box of 5 since I last bought any!
