I was 15 or 16 and i asked my dad advice about something. Who knows what. All he told me is you know right from wrong just do what is right.
Life is simple just do what is right.
Thats how he was. Just a simple, easy going man. In 82 years i never saw him raise his voice. He was a big man 6 ft 2 in and 230 pounds. He was a bouncer for about 8 years.
I know of 3 times he talked to someone about messing with his family and they all backed away. He never raised his voice. My Mom was a boss at the hoseiry mill where they made socks.
A new boss from up north moved to NC and was cussing at the other bosses in a meeting and the next day my dad walked into the mans office hung up his phone and sat on the desk and told him in NC you do not talk to women like that and if i ever hear you talked to any ladies like this again i will come back.
I miss him so much.
