I go back Monday to get shots in my knees for arthritis. Shots do not bother me but i have had fluid removed on my knee before and that was tender. LOL

I did. The stuff that replaced the rooster comb material. Relief immediately, but only lasts for six months. $1100 for 3 shots, could have had 5 but didn't need them all. Sure helped me. Ill do it again if necessary.

I've had them three or four times. My knees are too far gone for them to do much good.
I had my right knee replaced 4 years ago and it was infected by the time the staples came out. Lived with tht for two years until the infection literaly blew a big hole to the surface, and had the prothysis removed and went without a joint for 4 months to clear up infection. Then they implanted another one and it was infected by the time I got home from the hospital. That was two years ago and I am still living with an infected joint as they will not put in a third one. Been in wheel chair - can't walk - sucks big time.

Hope the shots help you - approach prothetic knee joints with eyes open to the risk.

Grouch Attack had the shots 2-3 times. The Dr. made the mistake of suggesting she lose 40-50# of blubber to ease the strain on the joints.
She never went back to that Dr.

got knees that are bad enough to make walking beyond short distances and climbing stairs difficult..but have not heard of an effective treatment....survived a huge blood clot land next to the heart from out of the blue..no history..it came from a leg.. so doesn't make sense to me to have knees replaced and take the big risk of a 2nd blast..asked doc if he would guarantee no problem after knowing this...he said only guarantee was that i would get a bill for the surgery

Did the injections into the knees for a year & a half, before I had the left knee replaced. Shots to the knee are a bit painful but not near as bad as the one I had in the shoulder and the one in the heel was really painful.

    But injections do help.

Had a couple. Did no good except to make it hurt worse. Last one I almost punched the Dr. Felt like he stabbed me with a rusty bayonet. Also had the guided needle twice in the back. No good result there either.[:(]

Once, had zero effect for me. Getting a titanium knee helped a lot.

I got 5 shots in my heal. On the last shot in my heal he had tears coming out of my eyes. He told me it was time for surgery.

Surgery on my heal was the best operational i ever had. Wished i had surgery 2 years sooner.[:(]
