Here are a couple of my S&W snubbies, my minor gathering is nothing like your herd. I do like to take them out for a walk, every once in a while. For some reason, the short nose ones always find a way into my safe. Have some longer ones, but prefer these. Sorry for the crappy phone pic, our camera is MIA.

I had one like the one in your picture in the top left corner. I loved the thin front sight, I could hit a 12" gong with it at 100 yrds. with a couple of shots to zero it in. I wish now that I had not sold it.

I don't have all that many. Think I have 6 S&W revolvers with 2" barrels.

The first 5 are 38 Specials and the last is in 38 S&W.

These guns remain popular even today in the age of the semi-auto because they are simple and do what they are supposed to with reliability.

Does the Mag Na Porting help that snub? My S&W 337 has quite a kick, and I was toying with the idea of having it done. I have a Sig 226 9mm that's Mag Na Ported, great for second shot follow ups.
