Does anyone else her own this awesome firearm?????? If so, post a picture. I collect them and they are my all time favorite rifle. I would love to see what you have. Mine are all the way in the back of the safe, so I will try to take some pictures when I can. Oakie

I haven't taken the time to look into a trigger job. Do they make aftermarket trigger components for the 88,,,,,,,,,

I don't know. Mine all have heavy triggers. I just don't want to screw with them in fear of doing damage.

Just a suggestion - Most of the parts from the trigger to the hammer are available from Numrich. You could buy some to experiment on, setting aside your original parts safe and untouched.

    Here's the one I bought in 2011.

    f4f0c3c1-ba1e-4e85-8491-2ac8cb613a94_zpspzkznirg.jpg

Winchester 88 #49xx, in .308. Includes Lyman All American 4x scope, Weaver pivot scope mount, Leather scope covers, Pachmayr butt pad, & leather sling. Made in the first year of production in 1955.

It's a great shooter and very accurate. The only issue I have with it, is when chambering a round, you have to hold it in a certain position to get the round out of the mag.
