Does anyone have one of these? I was thinking about getting this one. I have an XD45 full size and a 1911 Loaded 45 and love both of them.

Would this be in your top 5 carry piece?

Thanks David

I have one and it's it's a fine firearm. But I lean towards a smaller piece for carry.

I wouldn't put any 9mm in my top five carry pieces.

    Glock 30
    Sig 220 carry
    Ruger SP101
    Smith Model 60 or 649
    M&P45c
    or possibly the new
    FNS-40 Compact
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

My son loves his. That's all he carries. For me I like something a little lighter to carry in my pocket.

As I mentioned in another thread, I have large hands, so I got the XDS even though it's larger than a Ruger, etc. It fits my hands better.

With hollow point ammo these days, the 9mm will tear a pretty vicious hole in someone, so I didn't think I needed the .45 version.

The 9 is very well made and is very accurate.

I have an XD 40 5" . And a wolf 9mm barrel/ spring to shoot 9mm's to convert it to a 9mm. Mags are same.

The ol' weak 9mm story.. Sure... Here is the Underwood ammo .

    Technical Information

    Caliber: 9mm Luger
    Bullet Weight: 115 Grains
Bullet Style: Nosler Jacketed Hollow Point
    Case Type: Brass

    Ballistics Information:

    Muzzle Velocity: 1400 fps
    Muzzle Energy: 501 ft. lbs.

My XDs 45 is my every day carry gun. It's the same size as the 9, but with a larger hole. Mine doesn't recoil any harder than any of my 9's, and even less than a couple of them. It's very accurate, and since I straitened out the mess they made after the recall, it has a very nice, smooth trigger again. And it's easy to keep on target for a quick follow up shot, and did I mention that it makes a bigger hole?

I carry mine right front in a Remora holster inside the waist band. I don't forget that it's there, but it's not at all uncomfortable.
