Question about QuickTime

I downloaded a video from YouTube with iLivid. When I deleted the downloaded video, I think it wiped out part or all of my QuickTime. I can still see YouTube video. The only difference I've seen so far is when I open GOOGLE, the GOOGLE logo doesn't show up.

My question is, Do I need QuickTime? If I need QuickTime, how do I get it back?

Thanks.

Need QuickTime? You don't need QuickTime, but there are alot of videos that you won't be able to view.

I'd run a malware scan and MS Security Essentials scan (if you have it installed). Once that is complete and clear, you can reinstall QuickTime.

scrumpyjack, thanks for the link. I think I'll save that one.

I'm sorry it took so long to get back to you. As soon as I posted my question I saw the post about Scott. It will take a while for me to absorb that.

Anyhow, everything with QuickTime and Google is all better now.

    THANKS!

Ilivid is one of the most insidious pieces of crap to hit the internet. I tried to use it to download some music to my MP3 player and it took me a week to clean up the carnage it caused. Do a search for Ilivid and you'll see that it has screwed up a lot of computers.

Good Luck, you're going to need some blood pressure medicine soon.
