How can anyone ever expect a perfect Democrat to ever be able to clean up this mess left behind? Clinton tried it once, after Reagon. He paid all debts off. Bush pondered $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ into a lost hole. And makes you blaming Obama as well as I do..
Everybody wants to blame FDR but its not so....He was the greatest president ever. He was basicially forced by the people to be the only president that served over 2 terms.
FDR pulled us out of a DEPRESSION. FDR like any other Democrate in the history of the United States WON a world war. The Dems are up 2-0 on world wars vs. Republicans.
To be honest with ya. I can't think of one, if any war the republicans ever won, other than making sure I'm no longer free and forced to pay taxes.

8 years for me and I think you know about where I'm at but this is getting crazy these days. People don't wan't to pay their bills anymore. If they don't do that I can't sell anymore...
My customer base bought houses all in good faith they could pay them back....They forgot to take into consideration the extra $240.00 a month in gas it would take them to get to work when that loan was taken out though.[:(]

I pretty much disagree with almost everything you wrote. Lincoln didn't give much of a damn about the slaves but as an afterthought. He was for sending them back to Africa.
FDR had even more disregard for the Constitution than Bush did. He had lots of fiats voided by the Supreme Court and oversaw the internment of American CITIZENS of Japanese ancestry. Not even Bush tried that (although he may have wanted to).
Lincoln was, if not the worst POTUS, then certainly in the top three, and it was for changing this from "these United States" to "the United States." And, if you don't understand the difference between the two terms, think about it. The best thing Lincoln did was to free the slaves, which is why he is misunderstood as a "great" POTUS by the American people. If people look at Lincoln's actual record, he was a disaster.
FWIW, as a person, I like Lincoln. I think he was a good, decent guy that meant well.
As for FDR bringing us out of the Great Depression, yes, that's true. He also managed to extend it far beyond how long it should have lasted. FDR was a socialist, stacked the Supreme Court to ram through a lot of his unconstitutional garbage, and created much of the federal monstrosity we have today. Lincoln was worse than FDR only because Lincoln's policies allowed someone like FDR to do the damage he did.
FWIW, one of the best POTUSes we ever had is one you hear almost nothing about - Calvin Coolidge.

I personally believe that as time passes and things come out further due to them not being required to be kept secret due to national security peoples minds about G.W. Bush will change and he will be looked upon favorably!

Yes he made some mistakes but he did a hell of alot to protect this country from any ferther attacks!
He also had a hell of alot put on his plate that had to be taken care of on the spot early in his presidency.

In Springfield, Ill., on July 17, 1858, Lincoln said, "What I would most desire would be the separation of the white and black races." On Sept. 18, 1858, in Charleston, Ill., he said: "I will to the very last stand by the law of this state, which forbids the marrying of white people with Negroes."
Lincoln was also a lifelong advocate of "colonization" or shipping all black people to Africa, Central America, Haiti--anywhere but here. "I cannot make it better known than it already is," he stated in a Dec. 1, 1862, Message to Congress, "that I strongly favor colonization." To Lincoln, blacks could be "equal," but not in the United States.
The national debt was 18% of GNP in 1929 with the Hoover administration. Then to 40% by 1933 when FDR was elected. It held steady at 40-43% until '42-'43 with the start of our involvement in WW2.
Recovery of our economy only occurred with start of the war.
