308 Here is my thinking so far and as steady as I hold a rifle/pistol now days going mostly for body shots ......
223 Ruger Mini-14 Rifle converted bullpup Using a Multi reticle Reflex Sight I will most likely set this at the sight in dead on at 50. Makes you about .5" high at 100 dead on at 150 and 2" low at 200.
223 Ruger Mini-14 Rifle converted Strikeforce Package with tripod I will most likely set this at the 250 yard mark, and will aim at the mouth of a target using a 3x9x40 scope and I may be able to make head shots out to 300 yards, while never being over or under 4 inches.
Is the Ruger Mini-14 Rifle converted Strikeforce Package capable of this??
7.62x39 AK-47 WASR-10 Rifle converted from single stack 10rds to take double stack mags..
Not sure on this one thinking of converting it to a Bullpup also [ as soon as funds are available late 2009 ] has a 4x scope on it now
Suggestions/ideas??
SAIGA 308 16" AK-47 style with tripod I will most likely set this at the 250 yard mark, and I will aim at the mouth of a target using a 3x9x50 scope and I may be able to make head shots out to 300 yards, while never being over or under 4 inches.
Marlin model 9 9mm carbine converted to a Bullpup using a Using a Multi reticle Reflex Sight Compact I will most likely set this at about .5" high at 25. Makes you dead on at 50 about 3" low at 75 and just about 8" low at 100.
There will probably not be head shots from many Mini-14s or WASRs past 150yds, and if you need to make that shot you are in it deep.
Reflex multi-or not, you're not going to reach the full potential of your Camp Carbine with such a short sight-in. Use 124gr bullets.
A 3-9X scope might be a bit restrictive, peripheral-vision-wise for an urban combat environ as well; might want to stick with a fixed 4-6X
with an illuminated reticle.
BTW-have you got someone to haul all that stuff with you when the building catches fire? Who's covering the retreat?
"fantasy" overcomes us all , that is the truth ..[:D][:D]
I know you have a reason for the 125 yds. , would you mind sharing ?
Most of my information came from other sites..

USCG Ret.
A red dot serves as an example; if set for 125yds, the top of the dot is good to about 150 and the bottom of the dot is good for almost anything shorter. Extra crap in your line-of-sight (like extra reticles, confusing dots, etc.) will serve only to slow your shot and ruin your aim. Likewise, anything that's in there (like your target) can get "lost" while you try to line everything up. With a red dot; just point & shoot out to 125.
I've got red dots on all my "SHTF" guns, and a supply of watch batteries in film canisters taped to the slings. Even one of my 300's has a dot and it's sighted in for just under 300yds.
Granted, if there's a target out there attempting to "service" your position from 300yds; you'll need either one well-aimed shot, or a series of "punches" to stir the target from its' hidey hole.
The best way to "win" in an urban scenario is to be on the outside, looking in.
I'm in a city and I damn sure can't see 125 yds in any direction
Up?? [:)]

If I was to do that, the black helicopters might know that I know that they know that I know
Thanks for your expertise and insight most helpful..

my thinking of the guns , the way I have them set up
223 Ruger Mini-14 Rifle use's US Military/NATO Ammo , and is readily available , small in size..
7.62x39 AK-47 use's what used to be a cheaper ammo and is readily available
SAIGA 308 16" a little better for longer distant use's US Military/NATO Ammo may sell or trade it for a longer barrel one..
Marlin model 9 9mm carbine use's US Military/NATO Ammo and completes my XD9 pistol/rifle using the same ammo , small in size.....
Yes I do have a riot 12gage loaded with 12 GA. "Rhodesian Jungle" and 12 GA. Armor Piercing..
In My Opinion the SHTF a long time ago with gangs and individuals who do not give a damn about others , be it Their Rights , Property or Lives..
