Tough news IQ Test.

This is a terrific test. And it shows results in a number of ways. It surely indicates that the majority of Americans don't know what's going on.

It's astonishing that so many people got less than half right. The results say that 80% of the (voting) public doesn't have a clue, and that's pretty scary.
There are no tricks here -- just a simple test to see if you are current on your information.

This is quite a good quiz and the results are somewhat shocking.

If you get less than half correct, please cancel your voter registration ;-)

You answered 10 of 12 questions correctly.

You scored better than 92% of the public, below 4% and the same as 4%.

I missed the minimum wage...didn't have a clue, and I missed what we spend the most money on.

The only one I missed was the one about the poverty rate here in the USA.

However I do not agree with the OP surmise that this quiz is a good evaluation tool for ones ability to make a good voting decision.

This quiz deals primarily with current events as reported by major media which has little to do with ones knowledge of our system of government or what the proper separation of powers should be.

I missed the poverty rate one too. I picked 35%. I just thought that with so many people getting food stamps and government benefits, that the government would consider a whole lot of people poor.

11 out of 12. SS is more than the interest??? I find that one hard to swallow. But SS is $900 billion and interest is only (only) $252 billion.....

That isn't an IQ test. That's a test of knowledge of current events.

12 for 12,...not that it's anything to be excited about. We live in a country of idiots by and large.

11 of 12. Thought poverty rate was greater than 15%.

I agree, I call BS because SS is paid into, no one pays into the interest of the debt.

How you score on this test illustrates the fact that you can't trust media relative to politics and helps expose leftist media bias.

IE: What is common core? BHO and the socialist left wants you to believe Common core may be a way to standardize, but in reality it is nothing more than an attempt by the federal government to influence and ultimately gain control of local education. Of course the media wants you to be dumbed down into believing otherwise.

IE: The national unemployment figure. Obama and the socialists want you to believe the national unemployment rate is 6%. The real truth is unemployment is double that number. The socialist controlled bureaucrats changed the standards and socialist media is covering for them. If the media reported the real unemployment figures, Obama and the socialists would be voted out.

There are questions that are neutral, just to make one think the survey is valid. The gender and age questions are irrelevant.

I only got 6/12. However, I only agree with 3 of the answers I got wrong. They were...

    5. Shia vs. Sunni - Iran (I answered Saudi)

    6. Minimum wage

    12. Federal Reserve

I disagree with the three others I got wrong and believe the results are skewed. Those were...

    4. Unemployment - I said 9%, they allege 6%. I heartily disagree. They don't take into account all the people who have flat out given up looking for a job and/or welfare recipients.

    8. Gov't Spending - I said National Debt. They say SS, but the Gov't doesn't pay jack poop into SS!! So that one is flat wrong! (all they do is figure out how to steal from SS!!!)

    10. Poverty level - I said 25%. They allege 15%. I disagree.

I guess I'm a *! ...that, or I don't subscribe to government manipulation of news and media spin!

It did say Govt Reported Unemployment not the actual number. And I did go look up the spending question. They spend 900 billion on SS and $252 on interest payments.
