can you switch barrels between different chamberings, I.e. Put a 10mm or 38 super on a 45 ACP? If it is possible I would assume it requires different mags and Springs?

yes you can, but you will need a slide and ejector along with other parts, the cost to do makes it silly , you will have as much into it as a new gun

strayer voight made on a few years ago with a detachable breech plate that was interchangeable, along with bushing fitted barrels , but it was like 5k

    its not a glock [:D]

Thank you. I hadn't even thought of the ejector

Check on the 400 CorBon. Requires only a barrel change and possibly recoil spring. Standard mags. I don't know about availability. Olympic Arms used to make one.

The link won't post correctly. Just click on this and then check the 400 CorBon box to see what they have.

yes you can drop a 460 rowland in there too just to be changing barrels, but thats not 10mm or .38super 9mm etc

Another option, if you want to shoot .38 Super specifically, would be to buy a 1911-.38 Super and then with separate barrels you can shoot 9mm Luger, 9x23 Winchester and with a slide change and different mag. you can shoot .38 Special WC,,,,,,,,I built the below to shoot all four,,,,,,,one of my favorites.
