On a(n) earlier note...
I have a small knife and its the best, but you must remember that one of the layers is carbon steel... it rusts much faster than SS or 440... keep em oiled if it is real Damascus. I have a painted on Frost Bowie that is merely a stamp and paint of a knife they made... But this little blade I have is real folded metal. It will hold an edge, btw...

I can still hear the scream today 45+ years later.[:D]
The "flux" used to bond the metals is pure "20 mule team" BORAX...
