1911 38 Super, convert to 9mm?

Is it possible to drop a 9mm barrel and magazine into a 1911 pistol set up for 38 Super?

    I fitted a 9mm barrel to a Taurus 38 super 1911. I'm using the super mags as the length is just a little shorter for the 9mm. They feed fine.
