I guess I'm lost. Is beet the miracle food now? Or is it still acai, kale, kiwi, grape seed oil, pomegranate, broccoli...?
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

    Same here.

Day 1 is the beet greens, steamed and then briefly saut?ed in butter.

Day 2 is the beets, boiled until the skin can be easily removed and then also saut?ed in a little butter.

They all are Rocky... it's just that you have to have them all to get the miracle. Kind of like getting the miracle from eating a balanced diet.

    +1

I love them roasted in the oven with just some salt and EVOO on them.

    Fresh never canned.

My wife likes canned beets on cottage cheese[xx(]

It's the latest "fad" imo. I mean really, think about it. It is always something the adds are pushing.
As above, eat the right stuff and exercise, low stress, ect is the best a guy can do.

Just another way to get some snortin' in today.
I prefer to smoke my beets, makes ya healthy faster.

    And, Kale?! RILLY?
Collards are tastier and more nutritious, not to mention easier to grow.

Does adding the butter to the beets kind of defeat the whole purpose of eating the beets?

There are some who'd say adding the beets is an excuse to get "mo buttah."
