I just replaced our old Thermos brand double burner for $68 (after rebate) at Menards. The original ran 4 years+/- before the UPS guy tried to balance a 70# box on one corner.

The Char-Broil I bought was on sale at Lowes. 399 down to 299. Prefessional series. Must have been a pre season sale. I've only used it 4 times so far. That's how strange our wethers been. Its one of those tru-infrared types, which I know is a crock. But it has nice sorta heavy cast iron cooking grates. Seems to work well. Takes a bit longer to heat up but cooks with less grease flare-up. Id say watch the sales. And go look at which brand and model you like. There doesn't seem to be a limit to how much you can spend on brands like Weber.

Happy with my Char-Broil, too. Have a 4-burner one plus an external burner. Got it at Lowes' all assembled. I think it's five years old now. All original and the only maintenance I've had to do is clean the burner deflectors and grates once a year.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.
