Every day. I never leave it on when I go out for the day. Starts up fine in the evenings when I get home.

    Why?

Restarting a PC degrades the OS...
I was told to LEAVE IT ON....
I shut down for a monthly cleaning of MOBO and all fans/heat sinks.
    Then it's POWER ON..

NEVER,,EVER,,leave your PC with a page open!!!!

Places I have worked required all computers be left on at the end of the day. So the IT department could run updates.

Even so, all those places I would see updates pop up in the middle of the work day. Forcing me to stop working and allow them to run.

So much for IT doing their thing overnight when it won't disrupt the work.

Restart does NOT and can NOT degrade the OS. Heat is what kills electronics and thermal cycling lowers life. So, from that stand point you're correct, but software is unaffected by restarts.

Yep. Actually most previous versions of Windows required a reboot every couple of days minimum just to keep the OS stable.

I shut mine down and restart it every couple of days or so. Some times it acts up and I have to do it more frequently.

I firmly believe that repeated hot/cold/hot cycles kill computers. FAR better in my experience to just leave them on all the time at a stable temp. I do a shutdown/reboot about once a month to clean the keyboard and fans, and to establish a hard setpoint I can go back to if I get an invader or screw up some setting or other.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.
