If I was that lucky gal, I'd sure have stayed anonymous.

Her picture and ID are all over the internet. She will be hounded for the rest of her life!

You left out three zeroes. She took a lump sum, which brought it down to 400-something million, of which taxes took about a quarter, leaving her with right at half the headline number. She'll scrape by on that, somehow.

You are correct that she'll be hounded to death. She'll REALLY wish she had stayed incognito, anonymous, and unrevealed.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

As I recall at least one of the lotteries does not permit anonymous winners. The proper way to do it is create a trust or foundation and that legal entity "wins"... Easier to protect assets from the tax man between generations....

Who would have believed, ON THE INTERNET[:0] there are lists of 10 things to do if you win the lottery.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2017/08/23/what-to-do-if-you-win-the-lottery.html

So far, she's probably zero out of 10.

In Illinois, you cannot remain anonymous. Some programmer for the lottery in Iowa and some other states just got 20 years trying to remain anonymous.
Maybe she will get someone HONEST to assist her.[?][|)]

Thanks for the clarity Rocky... That was a bit embarrassing.

In Illinois ... good luck collecting! [:o)]

Delaware you can be anonymous. Not PA.

You'd think, of all places, Illinois would make it legal to win anonymously.

So the crooked politicians could rig it and divvy it up.
