It's a "reality" show. Take out the "reality" BS part, and it might be watchable. Problem with that is each episode would only be ten minutes long. I quit watching it last season, when it took one of the supposed "experts" twelve shots to hit a 100-yard target, with an '03 Springfield.

Whatever. I like it. Just interesting to see the different levels represented and how they do with different weapons, some they are very familiar with and some they are not.

It would be more interesting without the reality crap. Tell me that isn't true. I could maybe enjoy the competitions on the show, and maybe tolerate the Captain Personality host, but I fail to see where the crap back at the house adds anything positive to the show.

But whatever. Watch what you want.[;)]

Most of the shooters are "average" one of them I noticed actually closed his eyes when pulling the trigger.

I watch the show...its not great, but atleast there shooting things. The Blue team captain, Jay Lim I think said that he bought his first gun less than a year ago. How can anyone call themselves an expert in less than a year? LMAO

I'm still dismayed at watching several "champion" pistol shooters not be able to come within 6" of a bulls-eye at 5 yards (and with a new 2011 Colt 1911).

Also I noticed this time around they got the "eye candy" chick who might win like Season 7 of "Hell's Kitchen". Holli, that girl can fill out a chef coat [:D].

Also this season they got [:D] backing and gift cards.

Better than nothing. DVR the episode and fast forward through all the crap and just watch the shooting part.

That's what I do, although I thought it was funny that the Homeland Security agent got beat by a golf pro.[8D][8D][8D]

I wish they would have one series for geezers over 65 [:I][}:)][;)]. Brian has stated it is much harder when Cameras are running. But my money is STILL on him. He has shot under pressure many times.

I TIVO it and watch the shooting and skip all the house BS. I can also skip the 25 minutes worth of commercials that go with the hour long show and I can watch the shooting in 15 minutes, not an hour.....Mark

So far both "bruthas" each season have lost due to "mental" errors.

Last year the black guy lost because he didn't know what a good poker hand was.

All he had to do was "shoot" a good hand.

This season's token was actually a crack shot.

As far as champions not being able to shoot well goes...they don't know what the competition is going to be nor do they know what weapon they will be using until the day they start.

They also introduce running and other stressors into the mix.

Just like anything that resembles reality, mental toughness more often than not trumps skills learned in controlled environments.

This is why I would never trust anybody who had a 4.0 GPA in college.

All that means is that they have mastered regurgitating what they are told.

That's no guarantee that what they were told is of any value nor is it proof that they can think for themselves.

    Crap in...crap out.

Last year it was won by a former British army officer with special forces experience.

He was also the most even-keeled personality in the competition.

Golf requires some serious focus and eye hand coordination.

The skills necessary to play golf well are the same skills necessary for good shooting.

Often times you will have people trying to get into your head, making noises as you start your swing, etc.

If you can deal with that and make a good shot you will probably do well in shooting sports as well.

    Focus, focus, focus....and execution.

Mastering the fine motor skills necessary to pull off a good golf shot is no mean feat.
