From a review on another site concerning the new Stag ESK:
The 2012 Executive Survivor's Kit (ESK) is a special project done in partnership with Stag distributor LAN World and specifically marketed toward affluent people who have themselves, their family, and assets to protect during a "survival" situation.

Why would you not patronize a company just because they are building and marketing a limited run of high-dollar merchandise aimed at a particular demographic? Wilson Combat is one such company, and all the guns they build are marketed toward folks who can afford to spend more money than I.
many companies has targeted markets very similar, smith, ruger made "survival kits" with the ruger 480, and smith 500 with nice cases, extra crap in them, one was marketed as a grizzly survival kit
i own a Wilson combat "millenium protector" made from 1996-200, targeted market because the millenium scare, i got a great deal, and its a Wilson
Sarcasm, folks.
You should know to put sarcasm in green font. It's not hard. Highlight the text, then select green color from the "color" drop down menu. Try it--you can do it easily.

Well you learn something new everyday. I did not know green was the color of sarcasm. Thanks. [:)]

Green is also the color of envy.[;)]
I have 2 Stag ARs, a Model 1 and 3. Both under $1,000 before add-ons.
As for marketing to wealthy people...I think they are smart to market to people who see expensive stuff as a status symbol, but who aren't necessarily rich.
I know a lot of guys who wear Rolex watches who probably can't afford them. Same goes for Corvettes and Mercedes Benz - a lot of people own them to look rich but are living paycheck-to-paycheck.
Eboydell is not included in my example - I've been around folks who have money and I can't tell he ain't a poor boy.
*Filthy rich= Obamaspeak: I have a job.
*Left-leaner= left handed.
I have an S&W MP15T also, didnt know it was made by Stag Arms, so I learned something here also.Dave's must be a fairly early one.
Only when this rifle first came out was it a Stag product.
One way or another, even a newer one isn't all S&W either. Many of these rifle's components may be made by a number of different parts suppliers.
Nunn and I have discussed his rifle before. I determined that lower of his contains all Colt manufactured parts with JP springs. Nice [;)].
It has been a good gun so far, just too damned heavy. My next AR will be a light weight zombie apocalypse destroyer with my BOK for my BOl, if I dont make it then I am SOL after the SHTF.
Good choice.
I just got a swingin' deal on an FA BCG from PSA for my lightwieght EOTWAWKI AR project . It looks GTG.
Or Zombies!
