Finally finished the frame up restoration of my 1947 Willys Jeep. I learned a lot and could never have done it without a lot of help from friends and some professional restorers.
Thought you guys might enjoy a some pics before and after. By the way the gun is a .30 caliber 1919 A4 Browning converted to semi auto. Wish I could afford the full auto version, but I probably couldn't afford to load ammo for it. Keeping up with an ammo supply for the semi auto is bad enough especially if friends are involved in shooting.
This is what we started with...

Rear view

Nice job. Lucky you found an in tact one to start with.
A remarkable job.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Fantastic job, Congrats!
2nd that
i am curious on how do you decide what numbers to use and what do they mean ?
This sixty year old boy, however, thinks you did an excellent job of preserving a piece of American history.

I only hope the '47 I'm working on now turns out looking half that nice when I'm done with it.[:)]
congrats on a job well done , you did the old jeep justice for another lifetime [^]
outstanding effort ( I guess its obvious I like it also )
now its done I will guess the small mountain of receipts seem well worth it .'
my son has a Browning semi auto like that browning side plates .. and I agree just feeding it 50 or 100 belts of ammo even reloading
while fun can rack up some cash going down range quick [B)]

I do think a pick/shovel kit would complete it.
Thanks for sharing!
Enjoy it!
Agreed though at ten I was still fetching frogs and craw dads out the creeks
I would dearly love to get ahold of it and do what you've done with that jeep. I even already have the m1919 A4 to go in the pintle mount.
Great job !!!
