What's at area 51?

I sometimes wonder if there is an alien spaceship at Area 51 being reverse engineered, or if they are just testing our own technology and designs.

I do think other life forms are out there in the universe somewhere, I'm just not sure they landed/crashed here in the U.S.

I'm 31 now, do you think we'll know for sure before I die?

I don't know whats there, frankly, I believe there are probably other top top secret bases we don't know about YET. I also believe if aliens have indeed landed here they probably are so far advanced we would have trouble even recognizing them as aline life. Think about it, does an ant realize there is whole other continents with such a variety of life, or is he only aware of his own small universe??

Why when we talk about other life forms from way out yonder do we always assume they are far more advanced than we are? Maybe there is other life forms out there and they are nothing more than garden slugs. It is always assumed that we are millions of years behind, behind what? What are we comparing ourselves to?

I don't think ALL alien life forms are intelligent, perhaps some are "slugs" I think some are intelligent enough to get to earth.

I'm not sure the creatures that would arrive here are "human" looking. So many factors determine the look of humans, I think aliens could arrive in the form of any variation of the creatures here on earth, even several creatures mixed together.

My curiosity peaks when I imagine that another life form has arrived..either dead(as in a crash), or alive, as some have said aliens make contact and the government hides this fact.

It just gets me wondering, what else is out there.

I think I may shed some light onto the subject think about this for a second I believe the assumption that lifeforms from outer space being far more advanced stems from the idea of out of the box thinking whereas humanity as a whole has never worked unanimously towards any common goal and we have been fighting and killing each other for millenia. So therefor it is entirely possible for a species of intelligence to work as a collective to work in say technology to protect and explore for example. So by that logic lets say such a species exists and has existed for lets say 40,000 years. Now if we were to encounter this species of course that beings technology is going to be far more advanced than ours I assure you of that. Not to mention the idea of lost technology ill explain on earth there are several ancient ruins that we wont discover how they were constructed anytime soon like the great pyramid Angkor Watt Maccu Piccu and several others.

if a civilazation had found a means to cross millions(billions) whatever light years of empty space to get to earth, a tiny spec way out on one spiral arm of one ordinary galaxy among billions i cannot fathom they would detect anything worth making the trip except as a sight seeing excursion to a maximum amount of stupid self destruction...even at the speed of light the distances make this a model t form of travel probably unable to keep up with the expansion of the univese itsself...maybe there is only one form of intelligence per universe allowed as several or a million could eventually muck it all up anyway..interesting stuff

I agree,... Imagine if we took all the money, time, energy, and resources this world has spent on wars and fighting against ourselves as a society, and focused it toward a common goal such as exploring space.. wonder what we'd have accomplished?

I use the term lost technology to describe those structures because if and I mean if humans built those the technology used to build those structures is indeed lost. The architects left few if any clues to how these were made and all we really have are speculations especially when it comes to the Great Pyramid as each and every one of those theories was proven wrong "the ramp idea being the dumbest" I dont remember all the details but something about the maximum angle and the ramp being over 100 miles long to reach the top yeah BS wasnt how it was done there would've been evidence. not to mention those gigantic rocks are dang near perfectly rectangular IE no evidence the were slid or levied into place. The real bs deciding factor is no matter how many slaves with any of the failed comcepts it still wouldve taken over 300 years to build and noone would ever put that much effort into building anything. Hopefully now you all see my point as to why I call that lost technology.

Please it's the government. They print all kinds of money. Keeping up a propaganda base as well as a nice hub to run drugs pays for it's self.

    ok,

I had given thought to a possible true location for a "fort knox" type of place.

Hadn't thought of a drug hub...also i figure it could be a modern day Greenbrier.. I do believe the government turns around drugs for income, but i think this occurs on a large enough scale that the drugs turn around fast enough that small localized warehouses are enough to cover this type of activity.

They taught us in marketing that nearly 75% of money brought into the USA is from the narcotics trade. We also learned that if the US cant make money off of something through taxes they usually illegalize it. which works 2 ways keeps prices on illegal items high and allows for seized funds to be dissapear as well as seized drugs to be resold and recirculated.

The problem is time. Fiction warp drive not withstanding, It takes near 30 years to travel 30 light years at light speed. We can't actually go a large fraction of light speed, so it would take much longer. Any alien would face the same problem. Now ask yourself, why would anyone or anything spend decades or longer to come here and play hide and seek?

The probability that there is other life in the universe approaches 100%. The probability that they are coming here to vacation is vanishingly small.

I have allways leaned more towards the side of time travel vs aliens, I think we are just seeing our future selves...........

It's sad, really. When faced with anything they don't understand or haven't the ability to explain, the first and only "explanation" they come up with is aliens from outer space.

An ancient people built something that makes no sense to you? Hey, it must be aliens from outer space! The Air Force wants to keep new aircraft designs from prying eyes out in the desert? Hey, it must be aliens from outer space! Your neighbor keeps his garage door closed. What's he hiding? Hey, it must be aliens from outer space!

    Yup. Sad.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

We talk about alien visitors a more advanced.

This is due to the probably safe assumption that a life form that has found a way to traverse 10s of billions of miles across the heavens is more advanced than are we.

Unless, of course, they sent their cats, dogs or Jody Foster first....

If they've been picking up the RF signals that we've been busily broadcasting over the past few decades, they're probably avoiding us like the plague.

Area 51 is a smoke screen. Keep them busy watching Area 51 so they can do the testing out of HAWC aka Dreamland.

I have a high school friend with a double masters in biology and chemistry who does work there. She does contract consulting work for the government. All her e-mails are read by the government and she can't be on sights like Facebook. All pretty hush hush.

    She's so smart it's embarassing.
