HS Students standing proud for vets

Not all HS students are drug chugging trouble makers. Some really make you proud. These kids decided there was something they could do for veterans. [:)]

    that story made the news here too yesterday.
    it makes you feel like there is hope for the future when young kids do things like this.

    it was about 10 years ago or so, a high school in southern illinois invited all the area veterans of WW2 to the Prom , after 1 student found out that his grandfather and friends enlisted before the school year completed and they never got to go to the Prom. i think there was nearly 40 vets and wives attend. the high school band even did a few numbers of the SWING era so the old ones could cut a rug.
