I couldn't make myself like at as a kid.It's one of the very few foods I still can't do..
I hated tomatoes,asparagus,butternut squash and a whole laundry list of thing as a kid.I think because when it was "in season" it was pretty much free and served A LOT in our house.
I only wish I still lived in the middle of an asparagus field now...[V]
