Man I love this place, just had a bit of drama unfold right on my property line! I watched these two pocchies stalking a couple prairie goats, then the elk started back towards where they been hanging out and the entire herd galloped off when these two decided they wanted elk instead of prairie goat. The only caller I have here is a fawn in distress call and I promptly got after them. They stopped, one started to come back and dissapeared in the high grass and the other went towards the elk.
Now I cannot decide if they was coyotes or wolves, these things was huge. I've seen and shot coyotes before and I have never seen one this big. I have never laid my eyes on a wolf so I don't know. They are colored and mangy looking like a coyote but they are twice as big as any coyote I have ever seen. Look at the pics and tell me what you think. Got kinda exciting here for a few minutes!

Hard to tell without a duplex reticle centered on their shoulders.
Anyhow, got the Johnny Stewart call on a fence post squalling away (forgot I had that [:D] ) with the distressed bunny and the .22 Mag is loaded and ready.
the wolves here are 2-3 times bigger.
That dirt pile is 175 yards, you can see the corner of it in the first pic.
That's a chip shot for a good .22 centerfire. Good practice for the bigger stuff this fall![:D]
