More than a year ago, someone named Jim on the forum sent me a can of his home grown stock wax. Either got it as a gift, or won a giveaway, can't remember. Anyway, it is some great stuff, been using it since I got it, so I've had time to see long term results.
For years, I used Johnsons paste furniture, this stuff is a better product.
So, Jim, thanks again, that is really some good stuff. I owe you one.[:D]

During a recent cabinet move in my garage I found the rest of a can of stock wax specially made by a forum member I won years ago in a giveaway!!!! It's like I won all over again...I just used it on a marlin model 80dl from the 40's that I am rebuilding from the ground up. I got the rifle in really sad shape for free.

Plan is to give it as a Christmas gift to a young man in my church (15 years old) his parents are excited about it as they are from California and didn't really understand the gun culture till moving out here to the midwest. He is a good kid, but I wanted to make it "young" man resistant...this wax will go nicely towards that goal as it made the last rifle I used it on just bead water....does not leave a nasty residue either.

To Jim, if you are out there thanks again and know it's being put to good use!
