I have one and love it. They say that the hex receiver is better than the round one. I think it has a better resale value. David

You can search my thread if you want on mine. Carefully inspect the bore and chamber of the rifles, a good muzzle crown is also wanted but can easily and be cheaply fixed. Some consider the Finn rebuilds to be the best, but if you follow the above guidelines, they will all be great shooters with a powerful cartridge. Prepare to take it completley apart and spend some time getting rid of all the cosmoline (but its why they are in such great shape).

A lot of them are sold with a kit that has ammo pouches, a tool kit, bayonet, and a oil can.

Most of them have been factory refurbished or rebuilt. Dont worry if the stock is ugly, they are easy to refinish and can come out looking really good (see my thread on refinishing the rifle stocks, it showed my job on mine, with no prior experince).

Also, the prewar models have a octagonal "hex" reciever that to some looks a little better than the war models that have the round reciever.

These rifles are a lot of fun...good luck hunting! I got mine (a 1935 tula with kit for out the door for around 150-175 if I remember right).
