My postal carrier is AMAZING, her co-workers....NO

We get an email showing everything that will be delivered by USPS in the morning. Last Thursday I showed two items with tracking numbers, but nothing but junk mail was delivered. We called and asked where the mail was that we showed was to be delivered. They gave us a tale about it being in Birmingham and that it was actually not set to be delivered. (This has never happened before and I suspect they were just weaving a tall tale to cover someone.)

Friday comes and it is STILL not delivered. So, I am watching Saturday for my carrier and I have printed out the tracking numbers to check things when it comes.

No.....STILL not delivered on Saturday! My customer sent a screenshot of what he is looking at on his end. It actually says "could not deliver because of ANIMALS". I was LIVID. This is a plain out lie.....my front yard is fenced in where my dogs have access, but they cannot get to the mail box or the driveway. Pure laziness is what that was.

My carrier was on vacation and the women that covered her route were obviously not on board to do things the right way. They ran her route with the MINIMUM effort possible. When she came to work she had so many packages and things that needed signatures that weren't delivered.

Here it is Monday and these things are STILL not coming because the temps that ran the route so poorly have actually sent my mail to another local post office by mistake. They are going to get my mail and I'm GOING to the post office at 3pm to pick it up.

They are getting an earful when I get there!

My postal carrier is way worse than yours. For some reason i only get mail 2 or 3 times a week. However i get a lot of mail them days.

I think she has a dwi because i see her in the passenger side and a male driving her.[V]

It's the same story everywhere. Customer service is in the toilet.
It's not just unions, it's not just government, it's not just low-paid workers. Seems like few people give a rat's anymore about job performance.
I think it went out of vogue around the same time as personal responsibility.

Lea, our long time mail carrier retired. Now our mail gets here at 6:00 at night, some days we just don't get any mail, and for some reason we just don't get as much mail as we used to. Seems like someone is editing our junk mail for us rather than sorting it and delivering it. We suspect the route is being run by temps who just don't care. Hope we get a new permanent mail carrier soon.

I talked to the supervisor and explained that it shouldn't be total chaos when my normal carrier goes on vacation. I didn't get one letter that they said they couldn't deliver Saturday "because of animals". There were two items that should have come that day. When I called they said they would have my mail waiting for me at 3pm. I get there and its one thing, not two. I told her we are operating a business here.....we are ON TOP OF THINGS and we expect them to be too.

Knowing I should have gotten mail on certain days, not even getting a notice in my box letting me know to go to the post office is NOT ok. If they want to be lazy they can......but I will bump my game up to compensate for it and I'll go get my dang mail at the office if I have to. Being dragged into someone else's incompetence is unacceptable.

My regular mail lady is great goes above and beyond. The temps are just like yours, very poor. I have two addresses both are small town, country post offices. The temp knew I had two addresses, but took the package back to the post office saying that the address was wrong. After checking with the place I ordered from, and they tell me my address was wrong go to the post office walk in, and the woman there said I suppose you are looking for your package. By the time I left she had had an ear full luckily for her the post master was not there. I texted my regular carrier told her to quit taking a few days off. She got all over the temp, and told me she told them to do their job or she was going to report them to the post master. Not many government workers like her.

I took some Junk Mail Back to the Post office and told them I get enough of this on my own. I do not need other peoples.

What worries me is did they get my mail and was it something important.

I too seem to be part of the crowd that only gets deliveries a couple of times a week. But get a bunch each time.

I had the same problem with a lazy union lard * that would not get out of the truck to walk 50' to ring my door bell when delivering "next day" or items needing signature and someone is always home.

He would write out a memo saying I had to come to the PO and pick it up the next day. I had to drive up there and wait in light to pick anything up needing a signature.

Filled out complaint sheets and left them at PO. Elevated to regional center and all they did was cover for the lazy *.

Finally, and knowing I had a package coming, I recorded a video of him sitting in his vehicle filling out a, customer not home memo, and sticking it in the mailbox. The video was clear and in great detail since I was upstairs looking down recording.

Wrote congressman and told him about the problems I had and told him of the video and wanted to give a copy to the local TV station. Also had copies of all memos he had left in past. I demanded action.

It was not long afterward we had a new postman. I inquired to the new guy about the lazy * and found out he was promoted to a sedentary job at the regional terminal.

Congressman did send me a letter afterward saying he contacted the USPS and issue should be resolved.

File a written complaint on their official complaint form.

That is the thing they fear, the only thing they fear because when you name names it goes on their record and hurts their chances for advancement, raises and any bonus possibility

I had one house on my route where there was usually a big dog in the fenced-in yard. I would yell "mailman" & the owner would come running out. My relief carrier asked me why I didn't make her put a mailbox on the fence. She got mad at me when I told her why.
The gal was a small pretty Korean woman who usually wore a see through blouse with nothing under it. That was the highlight of my day, no way was I going to make her move the mailbox.

I don't want to elevate this to that point. I just think that if they realized how VERY AWARE we are here of everything coming and going it will make them realize we will know if they don't do things properly.

My regular carrier is FUMING over everything she has had to fix and track down. I'm still missing one certified letter that they didn't deliver last week. Its an uphill battle when 1 out of 25 walking the planet have any self respect, common sense or pride in what they do.

If you would like a bit of a boost you should go to your local chic-fil-a.....10 to one odds say that they get your order right, they are polite and respectful, and your food actually tastes good![8D][:p]
