Listen to the global warming doomer dance around Senator Vitter's question on where's the science data behind their claims. The doomer's answer is like well, you see, global warming is actually playing hide-and-go-seek I tell you. Its there even though its not there.

It's also quite telling that the committee chair (oh btw chaired by Barbara Boxer) didn't like the fact that Senator Vitter displayed several charts which contradict the global warming doomers narratives. These people are a scam, and a joke.

Typical environmentalist, totally full of crap, and a brain fogged by dope. No facts whatsoever from that pos. There should be open season on environmentalists.

While many folks claim global warming to be a complete ruse, there is certainly some science to examine.

I suppose calling any possibility of environmental changes hog wash is as stupid as assuming the increase in mercury in fish is a hoax also.

I have no doubt that WE human activity has damaged the water quality why not the air?

Does LA smog happen to just be an environmental event that would have happened regardless of mans contribution?

The effect of increases in skin cancer could be due to more radiation but I wouldn't rule out a thinning of the atmospheric conditions that protected us either.
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

I believe cloud seeding and chemtrails has caused more damage than anything global warming has even come close to

anyone ever remember tornados in april ?, how about the number of tornados and hurricanes that been increasing every year

global warming is about taxes nothing more, they want to tax the air we breath, they are already trying to tax cow farts, cremations, etc

    +1

Anyone can hire a scientist these days and pay them to say whatever benefits them. As intelligent people, we have to keep an open mind and examine the facts for ourselves. So far I have only come to one conclusion, things are definitely changing. Haven't heard any concrete arguments (not saying there aren't any, just haven't really searched out for one) for or against this change being significantly man made.

The climate scientist has to be either on government contract or a government employee. No rational private sector business would want to be associated with such stupity.

Pollution is real and we can do something about it.

Anthropogenic global warming is a ruse used for wealth redistribution and control and we should do everything we can to derail it.

The planet has been warming since the end of the last ice age. It will continue to warm until the start of the NEXT ice age. With or without people....

    fixed it [:D]

    we have had debates here before about human effect on this planet, in my opinion only a fool would not believe we are having an impact on this planet, billions of people that's way past the amount the planet can support {adding 250,00 a day}

add turning the earth inside out for fossil fuels, simple thing like the amount of concrete we add taking away from natural growth, oil spills, nuclear testing {I believe that's where our ozone layer went}, the list goes on and on

impact YES, global warming ? not so much, in the end we are mere cockroaches and the planet will win

When we burn fossil fuels such as coal or petroleum, we release carbon dioxide.

Natural amounts of carbon dioxide have varied from 180 to 300 parts per million (ppm), measured from ice cores. Today's levels are around 400 ppm. That's 40% more than the highest natural levels over the past 800,000 years.

We can tell that the additional co2 in the atmosphere comes mainly from coal and oil because the chemical composition of the co2 contains a unique fingerprint.

It has not been proven that increases in CO2 cause global warming.

Could this link have anything to do with both cancer and the atmosphere?

Yes, burning fossil fuels releases CO2, Where did that CO2 come from???? (Hint the plants and animals that make up the fossil fuels got it out of the atmosphere...... So at some point it was already there... )

The question about LA smog is interesting. Here in the South, the Smokey Mountains were named that by the locals well before Columbus got here. All the pine trees emit enough VOC's that combined with lots of HEAT and solar radiation this area had smog and was the equivalent of a non attainment zone centuries before the first car was ever thought of.
