#5 got me thru a lot. Even when it looked bad like a bar fight getting ready to start. Just smile make them think you like it.

Good lessons for boot camp, but really good lessons for life! Smile even when it sucks is very good advice. And a week from now, when things REALLY suck, you'll realize a week ago you had it pretty good and should have been enjoying things!!!

#7 Appearance---I always tried to look like I cared what I looked like. Just doing that got me some good assignments. "Apple Polisher"? Maybe, but it kept me out of a lot of S****y jobs. I was always picked to install shore phones on flagships instead of hooking up shore power in a hot, dirty substation. [:D] Made E-5 in under 2 years, too. RHIP!
