I have a new buyer and has it been fun. He's an older gentleman. It took him a couple of weeks to get an FFL that will receive his rifle. Another three weeks to get him to send his payment. He was under the impression I would ship to his dealer, and he would then pay his dealer, who would forward payment to me. Needless to say that is a no go. The cashiers check finally arrived, made payable to GunBroker, sigh.

We've talked a few times and he really sounds like a nice guy. This is his first online auction transaction and he is a little behind the curve. I'm willing to work with almost anyone and I'm sure I would happily work with him again.

Everyone was new to this at one time.

That kind of kid glove customer service should bring him back if he ever buys another.

I think that's what it is. I can't get on him for not trying.

My dad had a old saying about old people. They play dumb like a fox.

I thought he was full of snot until I got old, it sure is nice to have young people do things that I know how to do for me[:D]

Are you sure that he's not playing dumb like a fox?[;)]

My brother in law, 64, is one of my best friends. But he can barely operate a coffee pot. I introduced him to GB, walked him through a couple of auctions, now he is as auction savvy as I am.

I'm an old fart myself so don't think he is playing me. I can't see him drawing a cashier's check, sending it and purposely putting the wrong name on the pay to line. I would't play games that tied up close to 900.00 of my money. I'm fairly good at knowing when people are playing games. If he had 50 purchases under his belt I would have relisted it by now.

I get them made to Locust Fork from time to time. I've pondered changing my name to "McKayco" on the website to cut that crap out.

Its amazing that a person who uses a name like "Duckwhacker2018" could think payment should be made to a username. Would they take a check made out to Duckwhacker2018??? Why is this confusing?

First time users sometimes do get so intimidated that they screw up every way they can.

Your guy seems to be hitting it out of the park! [:D]

I was chuckling about this earlier. I figured I somehow got one of your customers by mistake. [:D][:D]

If I sold as much as you I'm sure I'd have a bunch more like this one.

My only other option was to send the check he made payable to GunBroker to GunBroker. It would have at least paid my sellers fees for the next couple of years.
