This is either a tame Tom, or an extremely dumb one,.....take your pick.
Do you have feed out by chance, as it is obviously VERY close and doesn't even mind your presence.
Before you ask,......yes, I used to turkey hunt a lot.

Just to satisfy your questions. The fence is at the entrance to the property which is a new spot where these fellas seem to be hanging out. So I decided to stop and give Woodsheds call a couple of chirps and this guy decided to come out and take a peek. Grabbed my camera (300mm lens and cropped) as he realized I was not what he wanted to see, and was only able to pop off these two shots before he headed off back into the brush. He was about 40 yards away.
The only time these birds get fed is what they get from the deer feeder once a year and they are not tame...totally wild and all over the place here.
I'm a bit of a naturist and have been very fortunate to spend a tremendous amount of time out working my inlaws property. I pretty much know exactly where everything moves around here. I have some very interesting experiences (some I even have a hard time believing) that I will cherish forever.
Here's a few more pics and vids from past times.
