Sounds like you had breakfast for supper. We do that often!

Meatloaf, mashed taters, and Fancy Cut String Beans.

With the freezing rain coming, the wife is worried that we might lose power so she has been cooking all day. She does this every time. Figures if we lose power it is easier to heat something up than completely cook it. So far she cooked the meatloaf, oven fried chicken thighs, pork chops, and some spaghetti sauce.

I am never sure what part of 'backup generator', Coleman stove, and BBQ Grill she doesn't grasp. [:0][:I]

Three slices of bacon, and a piece of toast from home made bread. Not so bad!

    Peace (and pork)

My wife does a lot of the same things when an anticipated power outage is predicted.

Along with cooking up several dishes, she also fills all of the bathtubs with water for our pets and toilet flushing.

Lets see, last nights meal was oven baked bratwurst & sauerkraut along with some very good left over scalloped cheesey potatoes with ham chunks.

I topped that all off with several (who counts) homemade snicker doodle cookies dunked in moo juice!

I should have no trouble burning off all these calories this morning with the fresh 6" of snow overnight![^]

I'm sitting here trying to decide whether I eat left over Thai chicken, egg rolls and teriyaki chicken kabob, or make up some seafood scampi.

I've got some frozen blocks (5"X10"X1/2") from Chile. Shrimp, crab, mussels, squid, clams, asstd fish, etc etc. I'm just torn between making bow tie (farfalla) pasta or linguini. (?)

Copious amounts of Olive oil, butter, fresh garlic, onions, some asstd. veggies, topped with parmesian cheese.

    Hmmnn.......decisions, decisions.

I made the Corned Beef and cabbage in the Stew Pot for tonite!
Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.

Today after taking care of the snow covered driveway & decks, I got the hankering for something good for dinner.

The Mrs. had pulled a bag of venison steaks out of the freezer last night so I went to work browning them up in a cast iron frying pan along with some onion rings.

I just seared them a bit and put them in the slow cooker and topped with cream of mushroom soup.

After about 4 hours in the cooker, I boiled up some wide egg noodles and got them near tender and put them in the crock pot along with a fair dollop of sour cream. Stirred it all up and just set it on low.

Now just split a butternut squash and prepped it with butter, salt, pepper, and a gob of brown sugar into both halves and into the oven.

Miller time! While that bakes I will enjoy a few PBR's and savor the moment of good eats tonite![:p]

Only thing I would suggest Brookwood, is a few shots of Worcestershire sauce for that Stroganoff effect. Sounds delish though. [:D]
