There is a drum available for this little pistola now! Kind of cool, 22 round drum.

I went to the range yesterday shooting my Christmas gift a bodyguard 380 but I could not shoot it very well. It is too small for my hands and pretty snappy, so I am looking for larger gun in 380. Kinda like the Bersa combat model. I need info on who has one, likes or dislikes.

Despite the modest price the Bersa is a quality pistol. I am not familiar with the combat model, but the other Thunders I have handled and shot are very decent. Short barreled pistols in general take familiarization and practice, they are a little harder to shoot accurately. Small light guns will usually have more snap to the recoil, but the Thunder is not as bad as some. Not unpleasant to shoot.

bersa made a 22lr in a sport model with longer barrel..got one and it is a good shooter..waiting for the RIA 1911 style 380 which got +++ reviews on gun tests...have a cc bersa 380 but have not shot it yet

The Bersa Thunder 380's have been pretty decent guns for us over the years and we have sold a hundred or more.They have some issues with trigger bar springs but on the whole good reliable guns.quote:Originally posted by fordsix

only thing i do not like about bersa is the decock...i prefer the simple on off safety ....go or no...habit

I prefer my Bersa Thunder .380 to my more-expensive Walther PPK/S. Just feels better in my hand.

I have 2 Bersa 380's.. They have performed well. And the price is reasonable.

The Bersa .380 was my first pistol back in '87, I still have it as well as 2 others and 2 in .45 ACP Fine shooting iron.

I have a bersa 380, just watch out for the slide bite.my big ole thumb got in the way once.

As a lefty I'm always conscious of that on semi automatics, I've been bitten much more often with Bolt action rifles/shotguns. I think I finally trained myself to drop my thumb when retracting the bolt. (at least I haven't sliced open the same scar again in a few years. [:)])
