If it is a 120V bulb, and the fixture puts out 120V, screw it in and find out. Voltage is voltage. Period.

    It should work.

Uh, no. Unless its a "high pressure sodium conversion bulb" then no; I Dont think it will work. Just like it will not work if you mix wattages. Example; it is bad if you take a 400W MH bulb and try to put it into a 1000W ballast.

I know this since I have a HPS ballast and I can use a MH bulb as long as its a "MH conversion bulb".

    hope this helps.

P.S. Do not try to run it in a regular socket as it will not even come on or it will build up until it explodes.

NO you will burn up your ballast

120v in has nothing to do with the voltage that goes through the ballast and into the bulb, there are very different capacitors in each ballast , it may come on for awhile but your risking a fire hazard

edit: they will not fit in a reg light socket , hps/mh and mv are all mogul based bulbs

Metal halide and sodium vapor generally use different ballast that need to be specific to the bulb. So no
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!
