I got home, took my Pit (Buddy) out front for a while on the Dog trolley, then he has to come in and go out back on the other Dog trolley, on the wrap around deck that hangs out on the 2nd story level, woods all around, large Mtn. pond out back etc.
Gotta check out the Domain, make sure everything is Okay.
While we were on the back deck, I brought in some Laundry hanging on a line parralel to his Dog Trolley on the back porch.
Some socks and a work sweatshirt were not quite dry, (It is threatening rain.) so I brought everything in.
Socks spread out over his dog crate. (An excellent drying rack.)
Hung the sweatshirt up on a plastic hanger, and looking around settled on the inside of the front door, over the large plastic blinds, because it would get air from both sides. (I've never hung anything there.)
Fed Buddy. Hanging out, mock attacks as usual, has to chew on me for a bit, get some Love.
All of a sudden, I see his ears perk up, he goes all stiff legged, growling (2nd time I've ever heard him growl.)
He is fixated, looking down the long 20' hallway leading from the Living room to the front door.
He is slowly (almost several minutes,) creeping up on the front door, where I guess my Black sweatshirt hanging there, he thinks is a Person.
Too funny. I know what is happening, keep telling him "it is Okay."
All the while watching him advance on the door. Shades drawn up on bottom 6-8" as usual, so he can stand up and look out front, to make sure everything is okay.
I found his whole behavior, and noticing "someone standing in the doorway," too funny.
Once he got to the doorway, and figured out "the Person," was "Okay,"
He went back to his normal goofy self.
Curled up on my lap now. Getting some Love.

Actually, that's great, he's watching your back.

I'd agree bullshot.
I'd venture to say, best Dog I have ever owned.
That is saying a lot.
He is a Keeper, by a Long shot.
