She wants ours up the day after thanksgiving and down the day after Christmas.
I took the tree out to my fire pit by the river yesterday and had a nice little fire.

Yup. Her job, both up and down, although I do some lifting and getting all that stuff from the attic and back.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

Ours has been up nigh on to Ten Years, as We never knew When Daughter would get leave from USAF.

Today is its last. We are getting all spiffed up, and Taking our last picture in front of the Monster. It is a 12' Fake Tree, on a 2-Foot Box.

Future Trees will be no more than a Foot or Two high.

The Monster had to be decorated from the Mezzanine Level, and with a 12-Foot Ladder as well. Done with that Foolishness!

Still wasn't big enough to display even a Majority of SWMBO's Ornaments!

Our Christmas Tree and outside lights come down tomorrow, New Years Day; SOP for us.

Otherwise, we are undecorating the inside of the house today.

If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!

Nope ... wife put it up, wife takes it down at her leisure....maybe not for a few more weeks?

    Same here.

My wife has left it up until my birthday...
And when I 'did' ever ask her if she wanted some help getting it down,
I was staunchly told, "Don't you EVEN think about it."
She loves a CHRISTmas tree. And if it were up to her, she'd have a CHRISTmas "room" all year 'round.

Wife took everything off the tree yesterday. I haven't had the heart to drag it out of the house yet so it's still standing, pretty as ever, hate that it will go out into the woods to rot away.

Inside decorations come down tomorrow. Outside will stay up until it warms up enough to melt the snow and for the lights to dry off, probably 10 more days or so. Once Christmas holidays are over she wants the stuff put away.

Talk about creosote... Are you going to have your chimney swept after you're done burning it?

Taking down Christmas decorations always makes melancholy, but this is just depressing. [:(]

Little close there bud. One spark and those trees burn like flash paper.
We had more than a few calls on em. Even had a SOP on 'em
1n the 60's we'd burn all the ones thrown out at the skate pond
    PHOOOFF- 20-30 ft flames

Haven't put up a tree for a few years. Too much Scrooge in me, I guess.[:I] Plus I have dozens of blue and green spruce all around my property to satisfy my need for Christmas-style trees.[:)]

Well, all of the decorations are packed and ready for attic storage; I just need to disassemble the tree and put it in its box.

I even braved the arctic conditions we are having here in East Texas and took down the outside decorations; it was a frigid 31 degrees while I was outside! [:I] However, it was 19 degrees earlier this morning! [:0]

It would not rot away, if it had not been cut down in the first place.
