25 Stevens Long ammunition. 54 rounds, penny start. If you have, or know somebody that has a firearm chambered for this round, this auction might be of interest to you.

I have a Stevens Marksman rifle that just says 25 Stevens on the barrel is this the same ammo?

My grandfather gave this to me many years ago but I have not really looked for ammo for it since it seems to be so expensive.

I became aware, after talking to the knowing people here, that there were two 25 Stevens rounds, a "short", and a "long". Maybe some knowledgeable person will weigh in on this, and help determine if your rifle has the long chamber.

Wish I had seen this sooner. Would have called a customer of mine, he buys all he can find!

Yes there is a 25 short and 25 long. Should be marked on barrel.

There is a British Company that makes a reloading kit for obsolete rimfire ammo. The 25 I have not seen it for but the 32 and others I have. You drill a hole in the spent brass with a special drill they supply. Then you are able to insert a 22 blank into the hole you just drilled. Then add powder and bullet as in any other reloading.

Just went out and double checked and it only says 25 Stevens, I wonder if it is like the .22 LR- will shoot lr, longs and shorts?
