1949 hunting license

Any interest here for a Michigan 1949 hunting license and tag holder??

The wife went and listed it on ebay before asking me about it.[:(!]
I can pull it before any bids....

Do they still do that in Michigan?

Was and is common. The Game wardens in Upstate NY, used to use hi-power scopes and binos to "read" your Id number from the roads.

Back tags are no longer used in Michigan.I still have my old license holders.<1FMJ>

I never heard of such a thing. Things sure are different up in Yankeeland.

PA used to do that too, I think they stopped with the back tags just a couple years ago.

Those tags wouldn't be of much use anymore, I'm betting most of the animals that were alive in 1949 are dead by now.

Unless you can hunt parrots and tortoises with it.

I remember those back tags. Sat down at my buddy's house one day, when I got up the tag fell off. I went hunting all day without it.
