Gunboards.com was hacked into today with serious results. As of now the server has been shut down to assess the damages done. From and early analysis, it is apparent that the perpetrators of the attack were not amateur hackers but professionals. We can not be sure of the trace routes on this but we are back tracking to see if the route can be traced back to the attackers. We are not sure who did this be it anti gun crowd or a personal vendetta. This comes on the heels of a two week period of hate mail, false postings and personal attacks on the owners of the site. If you have a chance and anybody asks please inform them of this situation and that we will do all humanly possible to be back up and running as usual in the shortest amount of time possible. Thank you.

Very doubtful it is anti-gunners. ANY board/server is grounds for hacking.....just so they can say they did it.

NO! You may not have my guns! Now go crawl back into your hole!

It wasn't just Gunbrokers. Most of the firearm sites I tried were down at the same time & there was no problem with any other sites I tried. It had to be an anti-gun hacker.

It looks like many of the major gunboards across the country have been attacked. Their denying our free speech, next they'll want our guns. Be prepared!! Just before the elections?? I don't think these are amateurs.

It was down this morning and I've received two phony e-mails from someone using Gunbroker forum members' names.

No doubt you are no stranger to the phrase "A day late and a dollar short." Did you know Paul McCartney was in another group before Wings?

My answer from support was," YOUR ACCOUNT IS ACTIVE AND THE SITE IS FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. PLEASE CLEAR THE COOKIES AND CASHE FROM YOUR INTERNET BROWSERTHEN REATTEMPT TO LOG IN"

This was after trying to get on the auction and forum sites for about a hour.

Why can't they admit it was down for a while [?]

Had a few beers with Matt when he returned from Iraq, but have since lost touch. He used to be on AR.Com a lot. I believe he uses the same handle.

I hate to think this, BUT when I tried to log on this am, when it was down, I got redirected to a "Freeze" something, something. search engine with various gun related places listed. I do NOT use any search tools that contain the word "freeze" in it. This is the same thing that
happened when I tried to connect to a pdf file that WAS in public domain
from the federal government. If the mods or admin. want or need particulars I would provide them with them, but not over the internet.
