I 've come here first for an answer. {only because some of the responses are so funny}.

I've got some small bottles of "Ensure" nutrition shakes.

On the back of them says this: NOT TO BE SOLD IN VIETNAM OR MEXICO

Why????????????????

    Interesting.

I have a bottle at the desk here and it does not say that.

Something about 'Not for people with galactosemia', but that sounds extra-terrestrial, and would probably not include people from Mexico or Vietnam.
Freedom and a submissive populace cannot co-exist.

I know certain areas/peoples lack different enzymes, so they can not
digest some proteins, but how does VN and Mexico fit in together??
I have heard that some Asians can not digest potatoes, from their long history of rice eating, but chocolate shakes???

Suspect it is a matter Abbott having contracts with various packagers to sell in prescribed markets. There are also nutrition and ingredients labeling requirements that vary country to country.

So, odds are the package you have is either not labeled to the Mexican and Vietnamese govt requirements. Or packaged under a contract not authorized to sell in those countries. Or both.

Simple the stuff makes you vertically challenged and obviously Vietnamese and Mexicans are generally already short so they can't drink that stuff.
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

I say its because all the Vietnamese and Mexicans are already here in the US. There'd be no one in those countries to receive it.[:o)]

Abbott has websites and operations in many countries. They do sell Ensure products in Mexico and Vietnam.
