Real Estate Agents--two sides to every story

Didn't want to hijack the other thread. Here's the other side of the story. There's plenty of *-holes on both sides.

Bear in mind, a real estate agent pays "all" of their own expenses----their Broker pays them "nothing" except a small commission only when the agent is involved with a sale.

You spend hours upon hours (even weekends, usually every weekend) sitting on an "open house" or working "phone duty" (no pay) with hopes of meeting a possible client that you may assist in finding them a new home per their requirements. You spend days/nights/weeks researching listings for homes that meet their criteria. You mail them information on various homes, you make appointments and drive them for days, sometimes weeks, looking at various homes.

Then out of the blue, your client goes out on their own some weekend, visits an "open house" and BAM---signs a contract on a home. What does the original agent get----NOTHING!

Have seen it happen to agent(s) many, many times. So, there are plenty of *-holes on both sides.

    Very true.
    ""two sides to every story""
I like to use a offshoot of that saying...

'There are three sides to every story... Yours, theirs, and the truth." [:D]
