(In My opinion they need their butts kicked for running wildlife like that in the winter or any other time.)
This is why you never chase a moose with a snowmachine.

And what a genius, he is going to fight off a 600 pound moose with a .32 acp?
Idiots. Chasing a moose with a snow mobile is just wrong in so many ways. I wished the moose would have thrashed their machines.
Yup, would have served him right.
Period.
That was a bull, you could see his horn stubs, they are cranky buzzards after rut heading towards spring time. Usually they run the trail for a 1/2 mile or so in front of you and make a sudden left or right turn heading into the woods or the tundra. Moose are dumber than a bag of hammers but they know walking on a packed trail is easier than in the woods.
They did get a bit closer than we normally did but they did nothing wrong or mean, it is a common everyday encounter to find moose and caribou on the trails. You just deal with it hoping the cranky buzzards decide to leave.
At the junction of the little Noatak and Ambler river in Alaska we were FORCED to shoot a second moose, she would not leave the first moose I had downed (her fat sister I think). We spent two hours trying to get her to leave. I was knee deep in guts when she charged for real and my friend Jimmy Swisher head shot her at 20' with a 338 win mag.
It is a different lifestyle, a different way of doing things.
I believe I would have shot it if it had attacked me like it did in the video.

I've seen moose get hit by trains with their air horns blasting away.
They will not leave the easy to run on train tracks too.
