the normal way. I get a "can't find" remark.

Only I can get here is to access one of my "favorites" that I've saved on a GB subject. Then I can use forums normally.

Anyone got any ideas what setting, etc needs changing/undated?

That be what I'd do... And have done.
And not just for the forums...

Oh, I've tried all the normal stuff. It's been going on a couple of days since the power went off as I was accessing GB.

I believed it to be in IE, then I tried Google Chrome - same thing.

I have very good security to prevent the BIG FISH & stuff.

Might have to do a total recovery to re-establish all files.

    Thanks for your replies.

I assume you've tried the "System restore" option and chosen a date prior to the power outage you mentioned.

Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't. Worth a shot .

    Thanks miles.

Done the "system restore", the whole bit.

A few minutes ago I made progress. Google Chrome will now access GB forums normally.

Internet Explorer still hits the same snag. Gonna try to download IE 8 down over IE 10 then download IE 10 back. I know some of the problem is in IE. Also wondering if some of the problem may be in MacFee Security.

I downloaded malwarebytes and scanned, no help.

    I'm still kicking it around.
