I Meet ANew Shooter Yesterday

After i dropped the dog at the vet yesterday i went looking for ammo. I was at Walmart and saw 3 boxes of 9mm and 2 boxes of 45 auto. There was a guy looking at the ammo kind of funny. I get the lady to open the case and got 3 boxes of 9mm. The man was still looking at the ammo so i asked if he needed anything.
He told me he just bought a Glock 45acp and a Ruger LCP9 for his wife. He told me he wanted some 45 but they were out of ammo. I showed him the ammo and he told me it does not say 45ACP on it. I told him its the same just dont buy 45 long colt and he will be all right.
He then noticed i bought all the 9mm. I told him since he is just starting out he can have them all but 1. He even offered to give me money for giving them up.
I told him to make sure him and his wife practice in the day then at dusk and at night. That way he is used to looking at the sights in all kinds of light. I told him to practice moving about the house clearing room by room to get used to that also. I told him twice to make sure the gun was empty during the house drill.
What was weird was he was in a suite and tie and has never owned or shot a gun in his life. Hope he does good. He paid attention asked good questions. Also the lady at the gun counter just took her ccw class.
