Swapped out the mirrors on my 2013 TUNDRA

For extendable TOW mirrors.

The new mirrors retained the manual folding, remote adustability, and heated glass functionality.
And added manual extendability, side turn signals, and full width parabolic blind spots.

AND about 10 more sq inches of mirror surface!

Several times I've been caught almost side swiping some yahoo coming up my left side.
The pillar between the front and rear door is pretty wide and causes a severe blind spot if you try and look over your shoulder.

Now, I can see coming, going, and backing EASILY. Kinda got spoiled with my Big Ol'DODGE mirrors.

I'm extremely happy with'em. [^]

Got'em on my Silverado from the factory and love them, wouldn't have a pick-up without them now that I'm use to them [:)]. First time going thru a car-wash was kinda spooky not knowing what was going to happen [:0] but all went well.

I found them on the RockAuto website, but they wanted $40 for shipping to NC out of Canada.
I found the exact same mirrors in a set off fleabay with FREE shipping and $30 less than RockAuto.

As long as your wiring harness plug has 8 wires, you've got full functionality available.
3 wires and you've only got remote adjustability.
13 wires and you could replace with ones that have power extend and fold-in.

Installation instructions can be found on YouTube. There's only two screws, one plug fastener, and the rest (triangle behind the mirror mount and the door panel) snaps off.

The passenger side took me longer since it was first and I didn't want to destroy anything. I also did it by my lonesome.
The driver side took less than 20 minutes after knowing what to do and I had my son lend a couple of hands holding parts.

Tools included a deep-socket 10mm, a #2 Phillips, and a wide thin flat screw driver for simple prying.

The mirrors came in ready to plug and play. NO issues what so ever.

REALLY Simple process. Since I could do it in all within an hour, a Liberal Simpleton could do it in less than a day. Well maybe two days. [:D]

I always wanted to have a wider mirror on my 2008 Silverado. I could not see behind my 27 ft travel trailer. So 2 winters ago I made some Ti & SS framed extensions for my mirror.

At least now, I can drive either and still see.
