What do you guys like best out of these three? I have been seeing a lot of at the very least cosmetically flawed winchester ammo out there. I may stop even considering buying it. I got some 5.56 off the internet from winchester and all the cases are dented. What experiences have you guys had with these three brands?

I used to buy American Eagle .22 LR ammo. It was like taking you gun to the beach and dumping sand in it. I'm sure center fire ammo is much different.

I have had the best luck with Remington UMC handgun ammo & Winchester Super X rifle ammo.

I don't think I'll be buying any factory ammo anytime soon as I have a decent supply of brass now to reload.

I have 2 gallon ice cream buckets of pistol brass in 2 calibers & a 400-500 rifle brass.

I've used Am. Eagle and Win. 9mm and had good luck with both, but found them a little dirty. I've been getting the Remington in the green and white boxes and been happy with it, and it's a little cleaner.

    Manny,
I use the winchester white box for my 9mm range ammo.

Never seen a dent in any of the bulk boxes, and they're all just kind of dumped in there.

I like it better than UMC. Don't know why, just do. Middle of the road dirty.

American Eagle and Remington I've both used for plinking .223. No complaints. Personally, I think Federal is a little dirtier than either of those two. But you're kind of resolving yourself to cleaning once in a while if your using an AR platform anyway, right?

But if I'm looking to group well on paper, Remington Match King is darn hard to beat for the money. Maybe not even for the money. I've had good results in multiple offerings.

But I'm frequently wrong. Someone will be along in a moment to correct me.

Do you think maybe your ammo is dented because it "fell off the truck?"[;)]

I shoot a lot of Winchester white box ammo in .380, 9mm, .40, .44 mag and .45. I like Federal American Eagle in .44 Mag.

My 223 loves american eagle. For my 22's I shoot winchester with great results. Remington ammo pretty much stinks in all my firearms and I dont buy it anymore.[}:)]

For reloading, I MUCH prefer Winchester cases. Last longer, well marked, thick brass, good overall. I can reload it a lot, and it lasts and lasts.

Remington (RP) is hard to read, middle of the road quality.

American Eagle (Federal) is common, good quality, second choice for me after Winchester.

Federal American Eagle .22 shoots very, very, well out of my 10/22 and match gun, using Lapua .22 match ammo as a benchmark.

For .223 Rem. Ultramax gets my vote hands down. Outside of that, everything else gets reloaded.
