Just took the dogs out to go potty and there was a bee buzzing around the porch light then next thing i knew it had stung my on the neck..
I came in the house and told Nunn to come pull the stinger out I was just stung by a bee...He laughed and said it was not a bee there are no bee's out at 10 at night,,,then he said, ohhhh there is a stinger.

It reduces the pain.
I think we should dig the bee carcass out of the trash, cut its head off, pack it in dry ice, and send it to the health department in Austin to see if it was rabid.
Just kidding, but that was wacky behavior for a honey bee!
Must have been a mad honey bee. They don't wander about at night, and they don't sting unless they or the hive are threatened. That bee was out at night and stung you for just being near it, behavior that is very out of character for the species.

It could be an African bee. I've heard even the experts have trouble telling them apart and they are moving further North every year.
I got stung by some kind of bee that came out the ground.About the size of a small horsefly or greenhead. It was florescent green and ZAPPED me while mowing the lawn.God me right in the crook of the arm!
That is a cuckoo bee. Solitary ground nester. I have handled dozens and never been stung, you must not have been using an approved mower.[:p]

I sure hope Dawnie shares your sense of humor.
