http://www.GunBroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=326558094

now he is trying to back out cause of the pending gun ban.
i would like to know about the Maryland LAW and will take it from there.

Does anyone know[?][?][?]

this is what was sent to me

Hello Raul, Thanks for calling me, but I was going to call you today, after I find out what is going to happen here in Maryland, with the Assault Gun Ban. This state has always been bad, but it was still possible to have the so called Assault Style Firearms, but now they are trying at this time to basically do what they did in New Jersey and New York. I will try and find out as much as I can today and get back to you. I am sorry for not knowing up on what is going on here in Maryland Politics, in regards to the new impending Gun Laws, because if I was aware of this situation , I should not have bid on the SP1. Once again, I am sorry for any inconvience, and I will be back to you today. Leonard

This is the email he sent me

Last time was living in Md, it was legal. The buyer has to go thur a Md. State Police background check and wait 7 business day to pick it up.

Assault rifles in Maryland are treated the same as handguns. You must go thru the MSP background check and the 7 day waiting period. The 20 round mags are legal to ship into Maryland but 30 rounds are not.

I would just report him as a non-paying bidder, give him an F for feedback, and re-list it. He won the auction, now he has to pay. Auction bids are a legal, binding contract.

The governor of Maryland, with a cabal of gun grabbing legislators, has submitted proposed legislation that would outlaw the possession of most so-called assault long guns, such as the Colt AR-15 & most clones. It has not been passed into law, & it may or may not be. But, this has been known for at least a month. He got cold feet, but, if he's an adult, he should understand that a contract is a contract.

your auction disclaimer seemed pretty clear to me. For this auction site to work, people have to honor their bids. end of story. If he renigs, he should be refused opportunityto participate again on GB.

    Noah,

I sent you an email on that same rifle and got no response.

Not sure if that one fell through the cracks. (Not complaining just a heads up).

He is talking about a Maryland only ban coming up, or the proposed national one? I only heard of NY passing something lately.
